Indoor Padel Hall with Advanced Thermal Insulation
Unixpadel presents the Full Isolated Padel Court House — a next-generation indoor sports facility designed to perform flawlessly in any climate, from hot desert conditions (+46°C) to extreme cold (-40°C).
This fully insulated steel structure offers a comfortable, energy-efficient environment that allows padel enthusiasts to play all year round, regardless of outdoor conditions.
Project Overview
The concept features a fully enclosed building housing 6 professional padel courts. With a width of 22.5 meters, length of 42.5 meters, and a clear height of 9 meters, the space delivers a spacious and modern indoor experience.
The entire facility is insulated using high-performance PIR sandwich panels, maintaining an optimal indoor temperature of 22°C at all times — even under harsh environmental conditions.

Building Envelope & Insulation
Both walls and roof are made of PIR (Polyisocyanurate) sandwich panels that deliver excellent insulation and fire resistance.
Key Performance Features:
-
Thermal conductivity: λ = 0.022 W/m·K
-
U-value: 0.22–0.25 W/m²K
-
Fire classification: B-s2,d0 (EN 13501-1)
-
External finish: PVDF-coated steel (RAL 9002/9003)
-
Optional skylights for natural daylight
The result: a building that remains cool in the heat, warm in the cold, and highly energy-efficient all year long.

Lighting & Electrical
Professional LED sports lighting provides 600–800 lux on the court surface, ensuring excellent visibility without glare.
All fixtures are IP65-rated and designed for long life and low maintenance.
Power systems are divided into separate circuits for HVAC, lighting, and general utilities for efficient energy management.
Fire Safety & Acoustics
The hall is equipped with:
-
Fire-resistant doors and panels
-
Two or more emergency exits
-
Smoke exhaust and ventilation in service areas
-
Optional acoustic insulation under the roof for reduced noise
Safety and comfort are prioritized at every stage of design.

Structural System
The building’s framework is based on a galvanized steel portal frame system engineered for strength and durability.
-
Main columns: HEB 320 or tapered welded sections
-
Rafters: I-sections with 7–10% roof pitch
-
Bolted connections (Grade 8.8) for easy assembly and maintenance
-
Full hot-dip galvanization + epoxy paint for corrosion resistance
This ensures long-term stability and reliability, even in coastal or humid climates (C4 corrosion category).
Foundations
Each frame is supported by isolated reinforced concrete pad footings, built for precision and durability.
All foundations are made of C35/45 grade concrete and reinforced with Ø16 steel bars.
Anchor bolts are precisely leveled for perfect alignment during the steel erection process.

HVAC & Climate Control
The indoor volume of ~9,700 m³ requires an estimated cooling load of 115–135 kW.
To maintain consistent comfort, the system includes:
-
1 × DOAS air handling unit with energy recovery
-
2–3 recirculating AHUs with textile air ducts
-
Air-cooled chiller plant (230 kW total, COP ≈ 3.1)
Indoor Climate Targets:
-
Temperature: 22°C
-
Relative Humidity: 45–55%
-
Air velocity at court level: < 0.25 m/s
This ensures a comfortable and draft-free playing experience.
