Building a padel court is an exciting project that transforms an empty space into a dynamic sports facility. While the engineering process must be precise, the core steps are straightforward. A successful build relies on a solid foundation, a strong frame, and high-quality playing surfaces. Here is a comprehensive overview of the essential phases.
1. Land Preparation & Excavation
The process begins with clearing the land. A standard court needs a 10x20 meter area, plus extra safety margins. The ground is excavated and leveled perfectly. Finally, a solid porous concrete foundation is poured to provide maximum stability and ensure proper water drainage.
2. Structural Assembly
Once the foundation is cured, the heavy-duty metallic framework is anchored to the ground. This galvanized steel skeleton is engineered to withstand strong winds and heavy impact. Following the frame, the rigid wire mesh panels are installed to enclose the sides of the court.
3. Premium Components
The final phase focuses on the playing experience. High-impact tempered glass panels (usually 10mm or 12mm thick) are secured to the frame. Next, professional-grade artificial turf is laid down and filled with specific silica sand to guarantee perfect ball bounce and player grip.
